From his home in Uzbekistan, award-winning illustrator Tim Deberd has helped to bring stories to life for readers around the world for the past 25 years! An artist since childhood, he began studying art early on and later attended Uzbekistan's leading art school after graduating from high school.

Today, he works with publishers across the globe, creating illustrations that capture imagination and enrich storytelling. Whether illustrating historical themes, adventures, or tales of American pride, he finds great joy in seeing words transformed into memorable images that connect with readers everywhere. Tim prides himself on not using AI and specializes in realistic watercolor/ink art for children’s books. Tim is also the recipient of The Military Writer’s Society of America GOLD MEDAL AWARD in 2025 for his work on the children’s book Finally Home by Cortney Cino of  Whimspire Books.
